so would adding a ceramic coating to SEs, better boards, or whatever brand help keep the snow from sticking to the aluminum? would it hold up? would another process be better? anodizing, powder coating, or ...? didn't i see a brand that was made out of UHMD or HDPE rather than aluminum?

thanks

Search my posts on Better Boards. Volumes on our coating process and yes it works significantly better then natural aluminum. We did extensive testing and research to settle in on the best performing coating product we could find. We even advanced our process further this season with some additional chemical pre-treatment that is even stronger and more durable. Last season 90% of our retail sales were coated products so the masses are starting to understand the value (WE SELL ALOT OF BETTER BOARDS). Some of the old line shops are a little slow on the uptake because the coating costs are higher and while natural works better then nothing it isn't even close to coated. They seem to like the budget models while the hard-core internet buyers are always going for the BEST. I'm working on educating them. Just another reason Better Boards are the better product.

should have searched more. didn't realize it has been discussed before. i have two issues. i want ones that have the up turned cleats all the way to the front and i already of a set of snow eliminators on my other sled that will also need to be coated. would you be able to coat a set if i sent them too you? the ones on your site don't have cleats on the front three holes. i know you did some other ones for carl's that i believe have slightly lower cleats and only the font hole was without a cleat. could i get a pair of those or have a pair made with cleats on all holes?

i believe they do not put the cleats up front so your feet dont get stuck in the boards. robs trick is to put the rivets upside down up front for traction. worked great i never slipped all year that i can remember.

yeah, i know that is the reason why the cleats are not up front but i still prefer to have them. that's how the SE are and i've never had an issue or even a hint of an issue. i don't like how it can make your foot feel uneven.
