Snow Conditions - McCall/Cascade????

Can anyone tell me what the snow conditions are like in McCall or Cascade. We are coming down this next week on the 12th and just wondering what the snow was like. We are hoping that the snow is not rock hard like it is here in Spokane!

Thanks!

need scratchers

Going out today, will report back tonight what it is like. Looks like it is pretty hard though. Suppose to get a couple of inches tomorrow and then MAYBE some more during the week. Spud

I went up yesterday and the they really need some snow for sure. Hopefully they actually get some of the snow that it supposed to be falling this week. There are some spots that are fine, like acs47x said but other than that its a bit bleak.

snow forecast in McCall area

Some snow is forecast and we need it but the riding today was not that bad. We went about 68 miles and found some good snow off to the north away from the crowds. It was soft enough to do a power turn, as I call it. Suppose to get 2 to 4" in the next day and some more every 36 hrs all week. As the horny toad said "need it, need it".

Any further update? I know we just go a pretty good dump in the Sierras wondering if any of that moisture made it up North? There is also another as the weathermen call it "powerful storm" coming in down here on Wed into Thursday. Heading up there on Wed.

we found close to a foot and a half of pow yesterday. coming over the hood most of the time. With more snow this week it will be great this weekend, again those north facing slopes or really anyting shaded is awesome where it has not got sun exposure and froze to hard

Oh, now this is what I like to hear. Thanks for the good report!! I will be looking forward to that.

That place looks good. Snow doesnt look to bad either.

Just rode Tripod/Smiths Ferry (about an hour South of McCall).
There's about 10 inches of fresh up high (7500+)

Had an awesome ride. Watch the bumps- there's a lot of rocks just under the surface-

I hope the snow gets a lot better. We are making a trip the 11th of March from Nebraska. I have heard how great it can be and if we are driving that far I don't want to see my hood all weekend.
