Snow checking 2012 mtn. Yamaha-what should I pay?

I have had 3 Yamahas & 1 Cat in my total 11 years of riding. I currently own/ride a 2005 King Cat(bought new). Prior to that, I had a V-max 4(used),,, SRX 700(used),,, & the first year RX-1 mountain (03' Bought new).

I switched to cat to save weight. However, mostly what I got/acquired was/is maintenance issues!!! I'm not into bashing or name calling...just the facts. No joke...I have had more time & $$$ in my one new Arctic Cat than all 3 of my Yamahas combined...and 2 of the Yamahas were purchased used!!! :light::light::light: That reveals a lot. Thumb & grip heaters...track rubbing on tunnnel, coil screws vibrated out after 300 miles & yanked wires out raw,,, power valves rubbing on pipe & subsequently rusting over summer-the list goes on!!!

So,,,trying to work a deal w/ my Yamaha dealer here. I paid $8,500 for my 2003 RX-1 mountain in 2002. Now ,10 years later, what should I pay for a snow check w/ $300 down???

Thanks fellas!! :D

Good to hear your back to yamaha,i paid $7600.00 09 nytro mtx. one year later 10 nytro mtx $11400.00 my guess for a 12 would be $13000.00 let me know what you find?

It's hard to say what you should pay, I don't think the new sleds have been released yet, have they?

Maybe they will weigh 500lb and 180 hp stock. If so there will be alot of 2 strokes for sale, and we can all breath a little better.

Dreamin' simply dreamin'!! If anyone thinks that any of the manufacturers are gonna do anything revolutionary...well, wrong. Subtle changes that may have improvements in various characteristics, but an earth shattering 500lbs Nytro at 180hp. NOT!! Not that Yamaha couldn't, but that it's just too expensive to develop. They are counting on the superchargers and turbos to kick it to the next level.

You can count on graphics, cool power options, cheeper operating costs, Yamaha reliability!
