Snow Checking 101, HELP!

so im looking to buy a new polaris pro rmk next fall and i'm new to the whole snow check thing. We used to have snowmachines when i grew up for a bit and got rid of them and now i'm going to get back into the sport. So my questions are when you snow check are you just putting like $1,000 down (or some amount) to reserve a sled next fall or do you have to pay for it all right now when you snow check? Whats the advantage to snow checking? cant i just walk into a dealership in october and buy the sled then? Anyway just hoping to figure it all out

$500 or whatever your dealer wants down when you snowcheck. Then pay it out once you pick your machnie up.

Benifits of snowchecking?
In canada, not sure if its different in the states. You choose between $1000 in accesories or $700 off the msrp. 2 year warranty and you can buy the retro or orange colour packages. Someone feel free to correct anything. Im just going by what i heard yesterday

no big advantages to the snowcheck i guess. you put $500 now and pay the balance when you pick up the sled. the advantage is you know you have a sled reserved for fall delivery and there are a few options like the different color options and as well as the extended warranty plans at no extra charge. unless you want the different colors and the extended warranty there is nothing wrong with buying a sled next fall, im sure they will be around

Typically it is a $500 deposit. With the snow check you get color options that won't be available to those that buy during the season. For 2012 the Pro RMK colors are the orange/black and retro scheme. You also get an incentive for 4 year warranty or 2 year/600 accessories. Some dealers will bring the price down if you do the 2 year warranty w/o the accessories. I'm not sure if there will be a 4 year warranty for people who buy during the season or not. You also get to spec your machine with stuff like electric start, track length, windshield, seat, etc. If you buy non-snow check next season, then you get to choose what the dealer has. No ordering to your specifications.

But if you chose you dont want the sled you cant get that back

Maybe not true.
Your dealer might let someone else pick up your contract and give you your $500 back if they like you.

Put your $500 down choose the options you want
Warranty
Seat
Track
Windshield
And financing deals

If your credit is good you should also qualify for 0% interest for a year or 3.9 APR for the life of the loan.If you choose the 0% for a year make sure you pay it off in less than a year or you'll end up paying back interest at 17.99% :face-icon-small-sho

do you do all the financing stuff when you snow check or when you pick it up?
