I already have foot well vents , slp block off plate up front , frog skins on hood , but im still getting build up right underneath the quickdrive?? any suggestions on this ! i would love to keep it totally dry !

On the belly pan (lower fender), is there a cut-out which was used for the chaincase drain?

hey

yes there is a hole there ! ive installed the polaris belt drive guard from the bottom! but ive been looking at the VEI one and it seems to full cover that exisiting hole with no gaps for snow to get in? do you think the VEI would stop it from getting it ?

Yes it does. Hole acts like a snow scoop cover it and it will stop scooping snow under your hood.

Why the obsession with keeping it dry? The design isn't affected by snow or water, the belt can't slip just because it gets wet. I have seen mine packed with snow all day when riding hard in the fresh powder.

What you need to be concerned about IMO is heat soaking a small section of the belt on top of the small pulley when you stop. That sucker gets HOT. I continually roll my sled forward when stopped until the top pulley is cool enough to hold my hand on.

I also make sure it is clear down there before a ride. Mine has ES so the battery makes access a pain. I pour hot water down through to melt away all the residual snow and ice. Then move the sled by hand to make sure the belt (and track) are free.

I am considering some thing like the Skinz plastic gaurd over one of the alum ones. I like the idea of covering most of that hole too, and adding some protection.

I put a piece of gorilla tape over the belly pan hole and left a tiny gap so water can drain out. That with footwell vents has eliminated any snow in my machine.

hey

i went with the gorilla tape and a little bit of silicone ! thanks guys appreciate the help
