Seen many hauling sleds on a short bed truck but never snow bikes?
Loading two bikes without a deck would be nice!
As snowbikes are a bit longer, can you load them on a short bed truck like a RAM 1500 crew cab?
Pics of your rig?

If they stick out too far I know you could make something for the hitch to hold the end of the tracks. Give it a try and see how far they stick out.

I do it all the time with the gate down. My Lt sticks out about I'm guessing 16" or so, my buddy's ST about a foot. The box on my GMC is 6'6". The carbides can eat your box bed so you may want to put down a sheet of plywood or something to save your truck. Two guys can load them easily. When you hump them in there run a tie down from your handle bars to the foot peg to keep the bars from turning. Get one guy on each side of the forks and lift the ski onto the tailgate. Next one guy goes on the ski loop and pulls while the taller guy lifts the back up and pushes. Voila.

It works, been using my 06 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab with 2 and 3 snowbikes in the back for a few years. If you run 3 bikes i recomend a short track in the middle if you have one going along as you will want to hold it back further than the other two from the cab. This way the handle bars and other parts on each bike can be kept apart.

swb bike haul'n

I have been hauling 2 long track sno bikes in the back of my short box reg cab chevy for the past three years with a ramp setup that sits on the top of the box in front, tailgate off, ramp extending about a foot past end of my bed. ride up the ramp, two tie downs, been all over the west like this. when you unload with a good setup it will roll right back down the ramp no lifting.

checked my files, no pictures real handy.
