Snow base in Oregon

How is the snow base coming along up in Oregon? Thinking of doing a trip towards Mt Bachelor, Sisters. Just want to find a few days of break in the weather and take a small trip to rip it up and have some fun. Just need to make sure the base is coming along good so when it finishes dumping, there won't be too many landmines.

48 inches at the base of Bachelor this morning. Has been snowing there all day.

Bachelor current conditions

Mt. Bachelor is indicting they had 6" of new snow overnight for a total snow depth of 57" at the West Village area. http://www.mtbachelor.com/conditions-report/ :smow:

We rode at Paulina on 12/10 at found about 12"-15" of snow coverage at the 10 Mile Lot. The trails had been groomed last Thursday and were still in good condition once you got up to the lake level. The warmer weather we saw on Friday, 12/9 helped settle the snow but there is still not much of a base anyplace off trail. Be aware of rocks and logs hidden under the fresh snow. We heard of someone breaking a front spindle in the lava field along trail 4.

Hope to hear reports from others across Oregon...

If trails is what satisfies you, then Oregon has enough for that. However if you want to go off trail, then SW Washington has twice the snow and no traffic to the snow parks.

48 inches at the west summit of Diamond Lake this morning and snowing. We rode there yesterday quite a bit off trail and didn't break anything:) Forecast looks awesome, looking forward to next Saturday!!!

Its pretty good, went up this morning its just dumping up there. There is still some land mines hiding under there for sure. especially off trail right near Dutchman. ..all the stumps and downed trees are not burried yet.

But good start to the season hope it keeps up and doesn't just fall on its face like last year.
