Snotel issues, yet again! Big surpirse eh?

Checking the Snotel sites, I noticed that the snow/ water equivalent and the total precip for the season goes up and then back down. How is that possible? Snow depth is obvious, with the settling and melting but the rest is bunk.

So, anybody been up to BUFF and actually seen the stick?

The three stations on RE look OK. Storms with big wind can throw up some weird numbers though.

Thanks Bushy for that answer. I just thought it weird that some numbers go up and back down, especially when they are numbers that are supposed to go up and keep going up.
