SnoTel & Google Earth

Has anyone been having problems using the snotel data layer for google earth? I downloaded the file once last year and it worked fine. Now this year I have tryed many times with no luck. It seems as if trys/starts to load and then fails, I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Any ideas?

didn't even know you could do that, of course i have the free version of google so i'm sure it won't do much

I have the free version of Google Earth too. Its worked in the past just like it should. But now i've been having problems.

Its been working fine for me. You have to download the layer (.kmz file) every time you want an updated snapshot of the snotel data. Try this link, save the file onto your computer then open it with Google Earth. http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snotel/earth/index.html

it is the snotel data for colorado but i have a backend script at weknowsnow pulling the data every hour and updating the file.. that way you always have the current data and never have to change the file name or URL.. you always have the newest snotel data as a layer. use the .kmz link above, this is just for colorado btw..

Thanks for all the help so far guys, but its still not working. If it is working for others it has to be something with my computer. And yes I know you have to download the '.kmz' file everyday.
