Snopro M8 or HCR

I guess it depends on where you live and how your ride.

If you live east of the Rockies and head west a time or two a year, I'd go HCR for the wider front end and the stiffer track. If you like to jump, get the HCR.

If you live where you can boondock or hillclimb on a recurring basis, then the Sno Pro may be a better sled for you.

Can you really notice the difference in the ski stance

I've never ridden an HCR, but on my 09 M8 SP, I just switched from the wider stance 41" with the sno pro axle springs installed to the inside position. Although I loved how the sled handled on the trail with the wider stance and the springs keeping the skis quiet, I had trouble getting the sled up on edge in powder because I'm a lighter guy - 165lbs. Now with the skis on the inside position 39" I like it a lot better in the powder. Its way easier to pull up on one ski now and riding on the trails is not so bad with my GSR shock re-valve. Overall, I like the narrower stance quite a bit better!

rule of thumb if you ride west of idaho the hcr track is better all around, but some in CO say they can't tell the diff. yes you can tell the diff on the wider ski stance. the hcr has better skis too. I think I would get the hcr and shorten the ski stance,

My thoughts exactly.... +1

I have an 09 HCR and absolutely love it. I moved the skis all the way narrow, which is a little wider, then the Sno Pro all the way out and it rolls up on its side so easy. I only weigh 160 and I can roll it on its side and keep it there all day. That being said, I bought my HCR cuz the price was right for the sled I wanted. I would have had no problem buying a Sno Pro had i found one for as good of deal as I got. Either way they are both awesome and there really isn't a huge noticable difference. Hopefully we will finally have some powder this weekend so I can compare how my track works compared to the other. Basically I would say find yourself a good deal, I wouldn't let the wideness or stiffer track sway you away from an HCR if the deals right. Plus Arctic cat green is where its at. haha
