Well hello guys i havnt been around for a while but i got some news. i baught a ss rumble pack silencer before i rebuilt my engine, and well at first it sounded nice and felt like it added power. and now it sounds like poop, and is gutless, i went on a straight and could only hit 82 couldnt go higher, my friends xc 700 keeps up to me. so i like wow so i go, put my stock one back on, MASSIVE differance. i can hit 72 across a feild of snow and on that straight i did 98 mph. so im not happy with this sliencer 300 miles and it rattles when you shake it and sounds like a tin can when you hit it.

Any one else have an ss? any problems?

If there is something rattling around in there, then that's not right.... maybe a baffle or something came loose and is causing a blockage???????

I know I remember reading posts on that thing happening on the stock cans for the 08 800s and it would cause those exact symptoms.....

My buddy had a SSRP on his 06 a while back and it ran fine with it for about 1,000 miles or so before he took it off to put an SLP on.... the thing was just too dang loud in anything less that 18" of fresh:eek:

Agreed with DD, contact whomever you bought it from and tell them what is going on, if you have only ridden with it for 300 miles, they might be willing to take it back.....

Good luck:beer;

If they dont take it back, throw it away! We had the same problem with a SSRP on my bros xc700! threw the stocker back on and runs great! Sno-Stuff is about bottom of the line in my book for silencers so if u need more sound think about getting something with a little more quality!

No i havnt contacted them yet. but it is poorly made, there is no baffle its straight through, i look through one end and can see the other. so i dont know what im going to do, i dont like how big the stocker is but it runs alot better. my friend has a 60 sno pro th new race sled, and he bought an ssrp and says he hates it lost alot of power and is probly gona sendit back. SS is not a good quality silencer maker thats for sure.

Wierd, sorry to hear your guys bad luck with em..... I've had one on my 02 800 for almost 2,000 miles now and I love it on that sled (admittedly a totally different sled). SLP is a good one, a lil heavier than the SSRP and quieter, but still loud enough IMO.:beer;
