sno scoot track upgrade???

You will likely not find a stock length track to upgrade to. Therefore, you will need to lengthen the skid to accommodate. Some have used SnowHawk type tracks all the way up to a 121" full size track narrowed up. Depends on what you have handy and how much you want to fab up to make it fit.

I have a Scoot on loan from a guy and he bought the parts and I assembled it. 121x12x.7 and it packed me (250#) up a fair grade in a foot of fresh snow about a month ago. There is no way it would have left the road with the stock track.

X'2.
Amazing what this little sled can do with a decent track and plastic skis! I have one with a 121" x 12.5" x1.33" track and another with a 108" x 11.5" x 1.25" and both (Sports not Scoots) run great with no engine or clutch mods. If you don't mind the $ tracksusa has snowbike tracks that work great. Mine came from timbersled and the other from ad bovin. Absolute best starter sled for young kids as the seating position is spot on and transition from sitting to standing is as good as the 2014 /15 sleds.

Hey Turblue not sure how I missed your build thread - looks great!
Very similar to the two builds I did - I like the powder coating & the way you set up the bushings for the skid.

The airframe style boards and standard type tunnel are definitely a huge improvement over stock too - did that with both of mine as well ... no slippery plastic under foot and no beaver tail to hang up snow. The Nytro brake mod is the next one.

Pity no one (Yamaha) has resurrected this sled design with these updates - waaaaayyyyy ahead of the other 120's. Would love to see one of these with 1/2 of a phazer 4 stroke motor - 35 to 40 hp would be a hoot (would need to add user selectable governor for beginners)!
