sno scoot track swap

Should I swap the track from one to the other or the electric start to the other. I have to of them. The track looks like it would suck to change let me know. Thanks

Starter swap is easiest! To change the track on the scoot you have to drop the steering & front clip in order to drop the engine and track assembly engine - starter is only two bolts plus the wiring + ignition switch if the harness is different.

I just put a 121 under our sno scoot, it was easy. No motor drop or anything, mine we just took off the brake ***. then the right side of the "tunnel" (it unbolts) then slide the drive shaft out. And of corse unbolt the rear suspention.

Any pics / info on your track mod ... which track did you use and when you trimmed it were the ends of the rods exposed?

My wrong re dropping the motor / drive assembly ... I was thinking of the last sport I fixed where the previous owner had welded the removable side (4 bolts) of the tunnel in place so I had to drop the entire assembly.

You can remove the suspension & swing arm, muffler, break assembly and drive shaft bearing which will allow the drive axel to slide out enough to exit the transmission and in turn allow for the track to be removed ....

All things being equal though, its still easier to swap the starters ....
