Sno-Check 2013 Arctic Cats @cost +100, 3yr warranty, $500 Cat Cash, 10% off extras

If i knew they fixed there belt issue i would be really interested.

Maybe they will have me fixed before april 18th though!?!?

Pretty sweet incentives, warranty is great but does nothing for peoples belt issues which has been the only issue i have had with mine...fix that and it sounds like a great deal for 2013 sled buyers. Polaris threw down a 4 yr warranty and a lot of new tech pretty hard decision but if they don't address this belt issue properly and fix the 12 problem sleds its a no brainer. I could have paid a pro rmk payment a month just off the belts i bought.

Crush the belt issue ora and you will sell a ton of sleds.....if not watch the numbers drop like flies. Even the loyalist like myself wont put up with the price of belts and no solution in site. If they don fix mine by snow check time im on a polaris with a 4 yr warranty at least they fix there problems under warranty! I cant take the extra cost.

Fix it. And they will buy.

WTF??? Yes we know they have belt problems. I'm sure before anyone goes and snow checks a Proclimb this spring they are going to read the 1000 or so threads about all the issues and make up their own mind if they want to buy one or not.

I feel your pain. I have an 08 XP in which I still find the odd piece of belt string from 5 years ago in hard to reach places. First year sled. We all knew the risks. Braaaap907 is just helping consumers out by letting people know what they are offering. Why hijack his thread?

where are you located

i have a 09 m8 162 SP with Twisted RG extreme sled with 1100 miles want to trade for 2013 1100T 162 don't care what color

2013 Break down for Sno-Checks

The "Belt-Issue" was the problem of bad clutching alignment &/or not fully tightened motor mounts.

Arctic Cat has the last of the update kits being produced now for the M1100 Turbo Reverse(removing a spring and adding a fixed gear) and the shim kit for the M800.

We are here in Missoula, Montana to reply to the earlier post.

As for trades, I have to have my techs look through the machine before I can even start talking numbers but we are always open for trades!

****Side note**** Give me a call about Demo riding any of the new 2013s such as a XF800 High country, XF Turbo, M800 SP, M800 HCR, M1100 Turbo and several others!

Quick note to anyone out there who has a 2012 M800 and has not had it in to us for there shim kit update yet.

I suggest getting it in to us as soon as you have a little down time before we get to swamped with ATV repairs. The last two i have done had a metallic color to the fluid, which is normal break in. Our goal is to keep you out on the snow riding longer so we make sure the update is done quick.

As a customer you have nothing to loose. A free chain case flush w/ inspection, and less belts blown down the trail.

Just a friendly reminder from your local AC sled shop!

That's incredible!
In just one single post you have cost your fellow AC dealers thousands of dollars!

Seriously, I admire you giving your local customers a great deal.
However I don't think it is appropriate to post such an offer on the world wide web.
You have no business advertising such prices in other dealers trade area.
I would bet such a post actually puts your dealer agreement with AC in jeopardy.

Oh that's real cool.....he gives me a negative rating for that......ouch that hurts!

He should provide a level dealership excellence that would command more than a 1% profit margin!:face-icon-small-ton

Providing Customers with a more reasonable chance to ride a great machine!

Web 2.0 has been a sweeping marketing objective for the past 5 years using forms such as Twitter, Facebook, Websites and Blogs(such as Snowestonline.com). If dealers do not capitalize on such forms of media as free blogs, forums and other public settings they would simply not survive.

Take www.tracksusa.com; No one can compete with their pricing yet that is because of demand and supply. This partial equilibrium causes a fluctuation in pricing and availability of a product. Camoplast is not complaining because their tracks are selling & the customers are getting a great deal. I am not targeting any target market except a rider that otherwise cannot afford to ride such a great machine. I am doing this to develop the Arctic Cat market share and awareness of the great things Arctic Cat has to offer.

Another example is giveaways that Sobe, Vitamin Water, and various other consumer products. You don’t hear local convenience store owners up in arms over free Sobe beverages in the park across the street and you don’t hear grocery store management filing papers over free Vitamin Water beverages at a local 5k charity run/walk. The free promotion is not taking 1 Sobe away from a convenience store or 1 Vitamin Water sale away from the large grocery store but actually stimulating a taste for a previously acknowledged product then in turn driving further sales in the convenience & grocery stores due to new found product representation and awareness.

By my empirical estimation I see sleds being sold that would not have been sold at current prices. Which result in parts/accessories/labor to local shops not just ours in the respective owners’ towns of residence. I have customers in Washington/Idaho/Dakotas that purchase from us but bring warranty work/parts sales that would not have happened without the purchase of a sled. Times have changed, business has changed and if we as powersport dealers (luxury industry) do not change our numbers will wither. I appreciate your view and perspective.

Sled Forum...Not economics and policy.

I guess our methods differ & maybe I'm just ignorant.

Just for fun, hear me out.
We give good deals to our customers in our selling area, sometimes very good deals.
However, if someone calls for a price & they are outside of our service area or closer to another dealer I do not get aggressive at all out of respect for that dealer in hopes that he would show our dealership the same respect.

There are certainly exceptions (carry-overs etc)

Sure I could dump a boat in some other dealers back yard for a small profit, then another dealer could do it to us and so on and so on.......everyone makes less money in the end. That is not our goal.

Maybe in the end we are not aggressive enough, but I believe we are doing it right.

Interesting points. I see the original post was removed in this thread so it's probably not in everyones best interest to post prices as a dealer. With todays economy, people are more price conscious than ever, but that still isn't everything. I can see both sides of this though. Either way, dealers know that they must adapt in order to stay ahead in todays competitive market. For example, the dealer where I live RMS (snowcheckdirect.com), emailed me about special edition sleds found nowhere else and getting a free motorfist sidehill jacket ($299), oil, spark plugs, and spare drive belt with a promo code ("earlybird") for snowcheck this year.

Offer good service, good prices, good incentives, and be honest and I think you'll gain loyal customers.

Shameless plugs!! I like that this dealer is offering incentive to purchase a new sled. Who wants to pay full price for anything now a days. you have to be competative to stay in business...

I think it's great to offer those deals to your local customers.
The problem lies in the advertising low ball pricing outside of your trade area.

As a Cat dealer, he should be trying to get customers away from Doo, Pol & Yam dealers, but this form of advertising targets customers of fellow Cat dealers.
Most legitimate manufacturers prohibit this behavior in their dealers agreement. Quite often it's not enforced, but the fact that it is in there does leave the option of legal recourse if fellow dealers would like to use it.

No theres no problem with that. If i want a good deal i look to Idaho for a sled, why should i have to buy locat and spend way more money? You probably work at a dealer or you get a great deal from one close to you. Thats not the case for everyone. But Whatever

Hey- just to shed a different light on this- and take this with a grain of salt.
I respect your view- but if attracting customers to another dealership makes you twitch- then they ( the higher priced dealers) need step up to the plate or stay back and make $$$ on the aftermarket items- if another wants to sell at next to nothing in the same area or advertise hey it's all good - wait him out if he goes away from zero profit/ or use better pricing that is affordable. it's time to get aggressive in this down turned economy.......:usa2: eat or be eaten.
There is NO leagal recourse from doing this-
Dealers sometime are less than 15 miles away- and work off a different FOP- ( field operating profit) that they set themselves
We all need to work together-

Well I hope all you jack wads that don't buy from your local dealer remember that when you need some warranty work done or regular work done for that matter and you local dealer says well have a nice drive to your selling dealer and remember all that money you saved by going to an under cutting pos dealer that just wanted to sell at invoice plus 100 dollars just to sell sleds not service after the sale.. I for one would gladly support my local dealer to make sure I always have a place to get parts service and a good place to go to talk about the sport we all love.... Enjoy spending the $100 or what ever you save in fuel driving to wherever it is you saved all that money and for you dealers that love undercutting others it's only a matter of time before the manufacture you carry come and picks up all there product cause selling at cost won't pay the overhead..... You can give away whatever you want but remember when they sell that cheap that can't afford to pay a real tech to service your machine the RIGHT WAY!!!!!!!!
