smart valve 1M 900 EFI

When does it cut out? give us a little explanation, someone will know whats happening.

I have seen them collapse and had to fish them out of the tank...thank AC for a big filler neck :) Blew them out and then they did it again..so just replaced them...have not had a prob with them sense!

I don't think they regulate fuel pressure...I think they are just a filter for the tank..water..and other junk that some how winds up in there:)

Are they collapsed when the sled falls on it's face?? If so they may need replacing!

Hope this helps
Glenn

The sled seems to just drop out at random times. I was moving it around the yard 2 days ago at 1/4 throttle and it cut out, it cuts out at WOT on the hill, it even died the other day when pops went to throttle up from an idle. It doesn't sputter, no cough...just completely dead for about a second and then wakes back up like nothing happened.

Check the tors switch and bushings on the throttle pivot, check the tps, and check the main ground wire at the recoil. They are not fuel related but all of them will do some real weird stuff. Don't just look at the ground wire, give it a good tug they sometimes are just sitting in the eyelet. If you are starving for fuel you will usually get some stuttering, unless its a total fuel shutdown.
