Small riser for adjustable post?

Have the adjustable telescoping steering post on my 09 M8.

Height is pretty close to what I want when its all the way up (I'm 6'3").

I was thinking maybe another inch or two wouldn't be bad.

I've already looked at the $100 Amp one, and I really don't think I want to be more forward. Don't want my M to feel like a REV at all! Not to mention I don't want to spend $100 on a handlebar riser.

Can you use the plain old style handlebar risers in the 09?

Also, do the cables reach with a 2"?

Yes, the cables reach 2" for sure because i have the AMP 2" riser on mine. I'd like a 3" or 4" AMP riser but, I'm not sure if the cables would reach much more than 2".

The AMP riser moves the bars a bit forward so they aren't in your lap. They feel just about perfect to me (albeit a little low). There was an AMP riser for sale in the classifieds.

I ordered the 1" Arctic Cat riser that was like $16.

I think the extra inch will be just fine.

I thought the cat riser was only for the non-telescoping posts. Let me know if it works for you, if it does I'm getting the 2"

That's what I thought too. I'm curious to find out.
