small oil reservoir?

has anybody installed a smaller oil reservoir instead of the gigantic oil drum that these come with? i never ride long enough to burn more than a quart before im at the trailer filling up again anyways. so if there is a 2 quart reservoir that could be used that would be perfect. i looked at maybe getting one off of an atv or something but dont know if that can be done. anybody tried?

Better safe than sorry. Most of us carry extra fuel and like having the oil already on the sled in AK.

My suggestion if you are that picky about weight is to not fill the reservoir up then. I can't see the additional weight from the "unused" portion of the current tank being that big of an issue, but it is sure nice to have on longer trips.

its not about weight.. its about the thing being so huge and being in the way of my blow off valve. makes it a pain to install or adjust.. or when my intercooler would come off i dont have room to reach down the side to push it back into place
