Small coolant in lower case during re-build, Questions

I am updating the top end on my Polaris Assault (IQ). I drained the coolant but when I pulled the head and top end some coolant ended up in the bottom end. Not a lot but enough so you can see it when you turn it manually. I have tried to soak some of it up.

I really don't want to pull the motor out to get everything out. Can I soak up what I can and then put oil in there? Once running will it burn off the coolant? Will that be alright? REALLY NOT WANTING TO PULL THE MOTOR OUT OF THE SLED.

Thoughts?

You should be able to push a rag down in there and soak up any excess then pour a little 2 stroke on the rod bearings and bearing crank bearing holes put it together and fire it up your good

I have a big syringe I got from the local farm supply. I stick it down in there and suck the coolant out until its pretty much all gone. Then stuff a rag down in there to obsorb the rest.

I have another smaller syringe, like I use to give my little kids cough medicine... 2 oz or something like that. You can also get them at the farm supply. I use it to squirt oil on all the bearing points before reassembly.

Any left over will be gone shortly after you start it. If you leave very much in there though it can cause a hydro lock or keep the motor from starting.
