Slydog powderhounds on the XP???

Im looking at buying a set of skis for the new XP just want some input on how the powderhounds perform i've never run them before and im kinda hoping they will take some of the dart out of the steering and make it a little easier to lay over. If your running them let me know how they work, godd and bad.

They are great in the pow, just O.K. on the trail. But not aggressive enough for those 'setup snow' days when you are moving slow and want to turn, they seem to just push alot. One of the great things about them is thier flexability, which saves on A arms and Nuns. They weigh about the same as the stock skiis.

...MAX

They are very good skiis. I like them on my XP. What color you want? I'm going to br selling my black/white with skulls.

Slydog Powder Hounds

I run the Powderhounds on my 06 Summit X, and just installed a set on the wifes 09 XP Summit X 600 E-Tec.

I really liked the Slydogs on my 06 Rev so thought I would try a pair on her new XP. I can tell you that with the stock 6.9 Pilots on the XP they were better on the trail then the Slydogs, but I like the Slydogs much better off trail then the 6.9 Pilots.

If you do get a set Slydogs, get a hold of Scott Bergstrom and put a set of his ski savers on them. Scott also has shims he'll send you to shim the backs of the ski stopper, though I found it impossiable to use them and still get the bolt through the spindle hole.

On the wifes XP, I went with Bergstrom's heavy duty (1/2") wear bars, and 6 inch carbides along with the 1/4" ski savers and the sled handles real nice on the trail.

I also added the 1/4" ski savers to my 06 Rev and it made a huge differance with the darting on the trail, a big improvement IMO. :D:D
