SLP Y-pipe bolts on M8

How do you get the bottom Y-pipe bolts tight on a M8 SLP set up?

Tighten them by hand as far as you can, then you can use a Matco hex socket or an allen that is cut off at the bend and tighten it that way. Its a pain to get it, but be patient and you'll get it. There are some threads out here on it, but if you need help or have specfic questions PM me.

Good luck!

cut part of the short end off of an allen wrench until you can get the clearance to tighten the bolts, that is the most FUN part of installation right after removing the studs.

ya its still a pain in the butt. You would think they could have made it a little easier to get to the bolts?

Well, maybe they should know about the problem and provide a wrench which has already been modified to fit. It kind of sucks to get stuck until you find someone with a grinder to destroy your wrench.

Yep, ball ended allen wrench. Get the 6" long one with the socket for your ratchet. Piece of cake. If they don't want to supply the tool at least tell you in the instructions.

I bought the 6" ball allen and cut the bend off of the #6. Use a socket wrench w/ the correct socket to turn the straight/cut allen wrench. You know you need to take the stock studs out and replace them with allen bolts right?
