SLP Stage 3 Proclimb

Is anyone running SLP stuff on a pro climb in colorado? Ive got a 13 with the stage III kit, bdx intake, and mds clutching. The sled runs amazing in montana at 4-6000'. It doesn't seem to like the colorado altitude, i ride rabbit ears, wolf creek, and grand mesa. I was wondering if anyone else is running this setup and what you are using for a map. The tech at SLP is dead set that its all my primary spring. They want me to run a 160/340 slp spring which will give me stupid high engagement. The tech said this is what the sled is mapped to run with which i find very hard to believe. I have tried a 140/340 and it helped the bottom end a little bit, but not much (really fat). Just wondering if I am the only one having this problem, or if it is a common thing at higher elevations.

I would start with what they recommend. They are very knowledgable on their products.

If your not already running the PC5, I recommend it along with mapping from Racinstation. I had similar issues with my '09 M1k and had Eric send me a "high altitude" map and it was night and day difference.

I feel for ya. I don't know what it is about the elevation, 10k-13k, but it really messes with the aftermarket stuff. The turbo stuff we run defies logic when it comes to tuning. Woog at Alpine seems to have the tuning dialed best at these elevations. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies, ive got the power commander 5 but it is slps map. Ive got some ideas from some lower elevation guys but its nice hearing from someone riding those elevations. Ill give racinstation a call.

I'll get back to you soon. Just finishing up on mine finally. Ran the pipe last year with no problems. I'm putting a speedwerx blue (165/310) and 65gr cutler adjustable weight loaded to 70 gr as well as a team tied in the rear for my first combo.
