Slp stage 2 - User results

Kit is going on a 13 pro 800 2000' elevation

Just so everyone is aware I have been installing parts in increments so I can see the results

0-200 miles, sled was all stock

200-475 miles ran my own variation of clutching, just minor weight and spring changes in the primary. (11-66s over 10-68s and 10 pounds heavier on both sides of the primary spring) Sled pulled better and held rpm better

475-600 miles - clutching as per Dustin at Slp. Can't remember the numbers but its the blue/pink primary and a different secondary, still running the 11-66 Polaris weights. A little higher engagement, feels like it could rip your arms off if the power was there. Back shift is smoother, almost seemless and I'm holding Rpm better while working the sled. With the previous 2 setups would only rev/pull 8150/7850. Now I am revving at 8300 pulling 8150. Spot on I believe to the dyno curve for this motor

Now as soon as the PCV and pipe get here I will install them and see what some more HP does. Results should be in Sunday

So I got my pipe installed Saturday. Put about 70 miles on with slp clutching and single pipe. Noticed a small difference in throttle response. A little louder but not bad. Ran flawless still

Only complaint is it took away the sound of the belt drive Now the sound thr made me think I had a turbo is gone

How many mile when the belt went? Was the belt warmed up a bit? Guys are running way more power than stage 2 with the quick drive belt. It should of been fine. Thanks for the updates. Let us know if you find out anything on the belt. :face-icon-small-coo

Lol. The comment on the power was a joke. Never really got to test it. Had to limp the sled home without destroying the QD belt to the point of not being able to move.

I will test it ASAP. Headed to the dealer tomorrow for parts

So here is another update

Had my sled at the dealer to get the QD belt swapped out yesterday. While I was having this done the dealers drag team was doing set up for races on the coming weekend. So I was invited out for a couple runs to see how the RMK would stack up

Took the sled out for about a 10 mile run and got the belt good and warm to at least attempt some proper break in prior to racing

Raced against:
2012 Rush 121 - dealer race sled, well set up
Current points leader in 800 class in local circuit
2013 - switchback assault. Also part of dealer race team, just being set up to see its first racing
2013 - rush 121 600. Also dealer race team, 600 class points leader

All 4 heats we did had the same results
800 rush 2 lengths on me
My rmk stage 2
Assault about 3 lengths behind me
600 rush 1 to 2 lengths behind the assault

I easily would have beat the 800 if I had any traction. Just sat on the line to start with and spun, once I had traction I was gaining on the rush but it was too late, he was already gone. As I said the rushs were well set up, they had zero slippage at the light and were gone

After I said to the race team we should try the same 660 race about a half mile over in the 3 feet of powder and see why happens.
The owners response " not a chance in hell, that thing is putting out great power you just have no traction on the hardpack"

I know opinions on hard pack racing on this site, but I wanted to see how my kit would perform. I thought it did well, now to test it in the real snow.

So now I need a stock new pro to test against and see if there really were any gains for the money

Ill be in island park Idaho the 15th of January until the Saturday. So anyone with a stock pro want to come out and compare?
