SLP stage 2 or 3 kit for pro rmk's

Just wondering if anyone has run any of the SLP stage tuning kits on there pro rmk's. I am undecided on the stage 2 kit or 3 kit. Any feedback would be fantastic thanks !!!!!!

slp

I agree stage 3 very good stuff and sled is runing cooler than stock on egt

Gulli from Iceland

Stage 3 for sure over stage 2! Riders in our group all have slp setups that work very well. I will be upgrading from 3 to 4 this year on a 2011 pro. However not a big fan of the vforce reeds.

Just bought ultimate pro kit from Brad. He uses SLP's pipe and fuel controler, but you get his head and fuel mapping. Best part is you can still run pump fuel with his set-up if you are above 5000 ft. Been working all fall, but gonna be home next week to put it all on. I also bought his clutch kit comes with weights, springs for primary and secondary, and helix. It's gonna rip @$$!!! :bounce:

SLP stage 3, you can run a 91 octane pump gas head, so not to have to run race gas. My buddy has this set up and it rips!!!

IMO any more if you ride more than 500 miles a year any after market reeds are a pain. I have been running the Carbon Tech. reeds for a few yrs now, they hold up a little better than the V-force. but the end result is the same.

I ran the stage 3 last year using the stock reeds and thought everything worked great....have stage 4 ready to go this year still using the stock reeds. Just need snow now.:face-icon-small-win

X2 on stock reeds. Pedals seam to come apart on vforce in a short amount of time. No problems running stock reeds on my sled with stage 3.

All these great responses about the stage 3 are killing me, I have a full stage 3 kit sitting next to my sled right now!!!! Has anyone had success with the force reeds at all? I was told to check them every so often because they do make a difference??

i have an 11 with the stage 4 kit with 1500 miles on the v force reeds. i pulled the this year to check them over. they have just minor chipping on one petal. so i put them back in

definitely go with the 3 if you are gonna do it

How well do you like the stage 4? What elevation do you run, weights you are useng and RPM's are you pulling?

I ran what would be the stage 4 on my m8 and it ran amazing. I would definately run the kit and upgrading to the porting is really worth it.

I have about 200 miles on my 13 stage 4. It is very strong in the bottom and mid, but we still need to find more top end. My friend with a new etec has, reeds, pipe, can and belt drive and pulls about 3mph more on a climb. It just slowly pulls away. We weighed our sleds at the beginning of the season and my pro is 25lbs lighter (the etec belt drive is about 10lbs savings). Overall he is a bigger dude and I figure there is about 70lbs difference ready to ride on our own sleds.

I was curios if anyone had tried the dyno port y-pipe, pipe combo with the pro compared to the slp pipe setup. I know on the dyno last year on the xp the dyno port pipe and can combo did make about 3hp more than the slp setup. But that was on an xp.

Was also curious if anyone has any results from installing extroverts, I really have to run my track tight and am pretty sure there is some track speed to be gained with extroverts.

I am pulling 8350, with 64gr belly busters in the primary. Holds rpm well and bulls hard out of the hole, but I just feel like its missing 3-5hp on the top.

Cheers

What elevation do you ride?

I am running an slp single and carl's cycle clutching, and the sled is spot on, very strong mid range and top end, also much improved throttle response over stock. SLP's map is right on the money, I ride at 9,000ft

Ya, i totally agree. I have Carl's clutching as well, and agree map is perfect.

Anyone running kit at different elevations? I live in the priaires (0-3000ft) but go to mountains (6-9000ft) 2-3 times a year. Would running low elevation dome in the mountains work?

Try to reclutch and get your RPM's down to about 7,950-8,000. The 800 CFI-2 motor in the Pro likes to be right at 8,000 where as the CFI-4 in the Dragon's liked to be at 8,250-8,350. You will definately be happier.
