SLP Ski's on Holtz Spindles?

Has anyone put the Powder Pro ski's on there 900. that are running the Holtz Spindles? I'm having a hard time getting them to line up to put the bolt into the saddle as it will not push up far enough with the rubber on the saddle to put the bolt thru the saddle? any input thanks

It's a pain in the rear, Try setting the weight of the sled in the ski mount ( I set them on a 4x4 block) and then you a punch or a small phillips screwdriver the pry the hole into place so you can get the bolt in.

tried that and got it into the first hole but putting it all the way thru. did not even seem close .are not the skis suppose to have some free play in them to move up and down? it seemed even when I got the bolt into the first hole it was to tight the ski would not move up and down at all. can't believe it would have to be that hard to get that bolt in there? seems some thing is wrong. but if you have done it. I guess there is hope.

it's a pain but once you get it in the ski will have some movement.

I start the bolt on the inside first and then I use a piece of 2x4 that is two or three feet long as a lever under the mount. If you can get it so the 2x4 or whatever you have to use is just touching the outside edge of the mount and put something under the end of the 2x4 to hold it with pressure against the mount so you have both hands to work with you can get the bolt in. It will be easier to do the next time you have the skis off, but not by much..:face-icon-small-dis

It is tough!! but you don't want the rubber "escaping " out in the middle of nowhere........

IT IS A MAJOR PAIN, I EMAILED SLP ABOUT IT AND THEY ASSURED ME THAT THE BOLT WILL GO THREW "SNUG" . I HAD TO USE PUT ALL THE WEIGHT ON THE SKI AND DRIVE THE BOLT IN WITH A HAMMER. AND YES THE SKI DOES NOT MOVE MUCH.

thanks all,I got it and yes what a pain had to have brother come over to help I ended up using a heat gun to warm up the rubber that gave enough run to get bolt thru. thanks again
