Who is running the slp single with the
Pcv?
Worth it? What's the advantage hp? Reliability?
I noticed on slps site that they have a map already made for the single pipe?
Anyone running it?

From all i have heard its well worth the pipe with PC5. I will be running this set up this year, i will probably go with the dynotech map since i have had good results with dynotech maps last year. Also you will need some clutching updates with this set up.

pcv

I run the single, big horn intake, pcv with slp map, 08 d8 155. Has latest piston and head update with the 1st 2010 flash-NOT THE LAST ONE FOR LOW ALTITUDE. The sled never ran this good-ever! Excited to see the slp exhaust, intake and pcv map for the pro.

I'd say buy an HPS can and run the PC V if you are on a budget.
If you have some extra $$ buy the SLP single and run Dynotech Jim's 162 hp map (i think it's a 162, i need to go check again).

ran just the slp pipe without the power commander, and it would flash the code and go into limp mode usually between 6000 to 7000 rpm, very aggravating. Installed the pc5 with the dynotech map runs great, no issues.

I have an updated 08 D8 with the SLP pipe, and clutching, never bothered with the SLP air horn just removed the stock one. This set up worked well but sounded lean and plug readings confirmed this. I went with one of Dynotech Jim's maps for my PC111 and was very happy with the results. The map added up to 25% more fuel in the midrange which was verified with plug readings. The sled sounds better and I feel much more confident that I won't be burning it down. Not sure of the power output but seems to get up the hill better than before.

I ran the dynotech map with slp single last year it was awsome i wouldnt run stock again EVER!!! lol 105 last year and 113mph this year with 70 ish gram weights. Had some trouble with mid range esp 6500 I had a stumble on sh*t gas so i started mixing in at least 20% av gas on pre- jan flash of last year and havent had a det light since. Then started running jan re-flash and havent had issues just a little hesitation at 6500 rpm which i hope to clear up with my autotune i just bought for this season.

what kind of elevation are you guys running? the wife is going to be running @ 9000 to 12000 ft. worried about her new sled burning down. it's a 08 d8 with the 10 update, not sure which one.

I'm running 3500-8500 ft. I found the dynotech maps too rich in the mid and the SLP map spot on for me. If I was running at low elevations that might be a different story. For 9-12K you will be safe with the SLP, probably even safe with the update reflash alone. If she tends to ride mid throttle for extended periods, get the PCV and run the SLP map, it will give you the extra measure of protection you need to be sure. That seems to be where the real lean spot is on the stock map.
