I wanted to get some feed back from you all on the SLP Powder Valves.
Who has used/is using this mod? How do you like it? How was the install, or if any tips or tricks in regards to the install?
I have read some mixed opinions on the powder valves on the doo talk site.
If I am already using the BRP front grill kit with the small round screen applied to the under side of the air box will the powder valves still be of use or will these things just be a waste of money and 2 more holes in my airbox that I have to worry about?
I have read of some folks installing vent screen material over the top of the powder valves to keep out water, debris, belt dust etc....
Seems like a good pre-cuation step and easy to just epoxy some pet screen over top of them since the valves will open (hinged) on the interior of the air box.
My sled is 2013 XM x 163 BB 872, C3 belt drive, Toms full 3D clutch kit, HPS can, powder wedges, SLP hot air elimination vent kit, etc etc....

Here is a link to these parts FYI;

Thanks.

Take a look at Between the Lines Design Pow Air Vents, they already have the screening on them, 3" are 15 bucks.

someone use powder valve you can fit to the xm i have a problem the intake is fully plug snow

I thought the XMs had a powder valve installed from the factory. Now don't take it as gospel because I haven't seen it, but that is what I heard one time.

Maybe that is what is on the bottom underside of the airbox. I installed the BRP grill kit that came with the small (2.5") round screen on the bottom of the airbox. This might be what you are referring to skidoo_guy.
