SLP Powder Pros or Simmons Flex-ski for M Series

Hated the stock ski on my 09 M8, rode an M8 with SLP PP skis and was not impressed. Tried simmons on an 09 M8 MUCH MUCH better than stock and in my view better than the PP skis. Still I wanted a better all around ski for my riding style so I've now got a new set of Slydog Powder Hounds on my sled. I will be testing those this weekend, if I don't like them I may go back to the simmons or I might try a set of SLP SLT skis. I hope I like these powder hounds.

Got the SLP PP's 2 years ago. The stockers would dump 5 gallons of snow on my running boards in a deep snow turn. The PP's were much better. Havent tried the Simmons yet. With the SLP's I could be I could be sidehilling in the deepest, nastiest trench, and turn uphill and peel right out of it no problem. Very impressed. Great floatation too.
Just my 2 cents.

Ive heard good on the SLPs, mixed reviews on Simmons on the M. (ive used Simmons for years and love them), but Im running Slydogs on mine and have been happy. They are better than Simons in deep powder, but dont bite on the trail as well. I know that isnt what you asked:rolleyes:

I have the gen II's and love em, takes a few rides to get used to them, and some major suspension adjustments but once its set up they work great.

Love my PP's on the M7, made a very noticable difference on sidehilling. Going to switch them over to the M8 this week now that I can actually turn the bars.

Another vote for Powder Pros

Far more aggressive, so you do get some more steering effort, but its well worth it

Stock skis are a joke

Haven't ridden an M with Simmons to compare
