Has anyone that is running powder pros have problems with there ski dampners? The ones on my sled seem to be ripping on the front edge where the spindle meets up to them. Also is anyone running the skis all the way forward?

That has happened to the last 3 sets i've had. I usually replace them every season with only about 600-1000 miles total on them before they blow out

Yeah kind of ridiculous I only have 300 miles on them. I guess I'll have to order a new set. I really like the skis though so far.

Umm, I would let SLP know you're having this problem and make them deal with it for you. Seems pretty ridiculous you would have to purchase new rubbers (hehe) every year. I would think they should last as long as the oem's do on the Grippers.

I've not had any problems with them. These have been on my sled since Feb 2010.

I have always had the skis in the forward mount holes.

You guys are putting the large end of the rubber at the back, right????

Yeah they were mounted right. The dealer actually installed them when I bought the sled. I pulled them apart last night and checked and they were right. I just put the rubber back in where it should be. I guess I'll just ride it like that until i get some new ones. I will give SLP a call on Monday and post on here what they tell me.

Mine has done it twice, but only o one side and not that bad. My wifes sled has never done it. When I comapred the saddles on hers I noticed that the upright metal plate on the front side of the rubber mount was about 3/8" taller on hers. I took mine off and welded another 3/8" to the top of mine at a slight rearward angle. Only comming out now if it is taken apart or something breaks. Makes me wonder if they changed them at some point. Super easy to fix if you have a welder.
