Hey guys wondering if anybody has ran a SLP pipe and PCV on a 800 pro with a different can than just a SLP? Kinda toyin around with the idea but want something a little louder than a SLP can. Also if so is there any changes in the mapping/clutching? Thanks

SLP pipes and cans are pretty much made to run with each other, so you could possibly lose some performance from the pipe if you open up your exhaust outlet with a different can. Seems silly to spend that much money on the system that only gains you a little horsepower and not run it in the manner that it was intended. If you wanna mix & match power & sound, it seems like the Aaen pipe, fuel controller and can of your choice would be the way to go. Unless you already have the SLP kit, that is. There's also a thread that just started on the Aaen pipe, if you wanna keep an eye on that. They guy is gonna test it out in a week or so I think

Okay I'll check it out. But about the SLP pipe and PCV. A buddies dad has a stage 2 that he took off his assault and i was kinda thinkin bout it and was just wondering if it was even possible. But thanks for the info!

Ya You can't run an SLP pipe for the Pro with any other can. Slp designed them that way, yes it sucks but in SLP's defense when they say there pipe and can put out 6.7 hp they know for a fact it does. A lot of people call them too wondering why there sled doesn't run and all theyre running is SLP's pipe, SLP can't help them, they've tested all there stuff together and not with anything else. If you want to make your sled run get the SLP stage 3 or 4 kit, you'll smile. I would like more noise too but I'll take performance over that. Hope this helps :face-icon-small-hap

The SLP singles are closely tuned to their cans, mixing and matching will screw them up. Some folks found this out with the SLP single only for the rotax 800ho ported, any other can but theirs was too restrictive and you'd burn down, and their 800ho can on stocker without the pipe or port would result in a performance drop. It's system, like it or not.
