you can use the 06 slp pipe on the 05, but i wouldnt use the 05 slp pipe on an 06...much different porting on the 06, and would create an issue on the 05 unless you have ported 05cylinders

"fitting" and working correctly are two different things.
The 2005 and the 2006 have radically different porting.
I would not run the 2005 pipe on the 2006 or vice versa.

Also...With the reflash, you MUST have the number that came on the card with the pipe or the dealer will not be able to re-flash the sled.
You would then have to buy another number from SLP.
That re-flash number will only work on the respective model year sled that pipe was made for from what I hear.

As Mountainhorse said the flash is for the year of sled. The 05 pipe uses factory Y-pipe and 06 comes with Y-pipe. The 05 is 2 injector and the 06 is 4 so there will be no flash that is exactly right for the pipe. It may work but it probably wouldn't work optimally and might even cause your sled to run worse.
This is correct. The 2006 required a authorization card which we provided. The 2005 did not, but the dealer still had to get an authorization through Polaris via the INTERNET. Both forms if authorization are only usable one time per serial number. After that, it can be a bit more complicated.
The 05 and 06 pipes are not designed to be interchangeable. They are both different designs and fit.

I purchaced a pile of parts from different people for both the 05 and 06 models, and trying to use what I got. Is it posible to purchase just the 06 pipe and Authorization card, or do I have to buy the whole kit? Plus I have a spare ECM off a different 06 sled that has the SLP flash in it. Could I use this if I found a used pipe that did not have the card? The sled runs awesome now with just the SLP can, I understand that if the Y pipe and pipe are added it will have more ponies and crisper throttle response.
Yes, we can sell just the pipe if you have the other two components....the SLP Y-pipe, pipe, and silencer have to be used together in order for everything to work properly. If the 06 ECU is the correct injector color, and our map installed, it should work, preventing you from having to purchase a new authorization card.
