slp pipe installation

so if i bought an slp system. ie: pipe and can. would i need to buy a y-pipe too? or could i just install the pipe/can and away we go?

pretty sure you need the y pipe too. I had it with mine and if you look on the slp site, the pipe come with the set, you don't have a choice to not have it

Depends on the sled, I heard the 700 IQ SLP pipe uses the stock y-pipe... the 800 does not.

^^^ Yeah I was talking about an 800,but looked at the slp site again and the 700 kit does not come with a y pipe, so i would agree that you use stock on 700

Heads up on certain models to move your wire pack to the opposite side of your hood...don't know if that is in the instructions.

You can run a SLP single and can without the Y-pipe no problem. F-Bomb is correct, wiring will need to be move to the left side of the hood so you do not melt it.

An SLP big horn kit is a must to go along with the pipe though

since these don't have carbs there is no new jetting required correct? i have an 08 600 and am looking at a used set with about 600 miles for 250-300$. with these newer cfi models the big horn kit is just install and go right? or would i have to change my fuel injector size and all that happy horse****? the sled already has the better yellow injectors in it.
