slp pipe and resistor?

wondering how many people are running the resistor. i might take off from truck around 2500' or so, but mountain riding more like 4000' to 6000'. i know some say it's not needed and you can run in ethenol mode (with non-eth fuel) and be ok. also the only non-eth fuel i can get is mid grade 90 octane. i don't really want to take resistor in and out for when above 5000'. what's you're opinions? thanks
 
Running the full pipe and resistor at 8000-11500 in eth mode running 91eth mixed at 10/1 with av gas (I fill with cans to keep consistent )


0 issues so far, it runs fat, I can tell by the black streak when I pin it. But I would rather be fat than burned down. Makes me nervous with no controller or gauges, to many mod sleds and turbos in the past

With how conservative slp is with their tuning id imagine if you followed their recomendations you would be fine.
