Slp light weight silencer?

I'm curious as well. Looking to put an aftermarket exhaust/can on, but would like some feedback as far as what helps a little in the power to weight ratio

No one has an SLP Can? I would like to here some feedback on them as well. I have rode with guys that have the HPS can and liked the way it sounded but haven't heard an SLP.

Hi guys. If you are looking for hp with just a can, forget it.. If you want a nice sound buy a slp can. I have 2011 swb assault with slp pipe and some other good stuff. I have owned jaws (nice but loud), bmp (ugly sound and the sled actually performed worse) and skinz can. The skinz had almost the same tone as jaws, but not that loud. With the slp pipe and the can it sounds almost stock. You get a crispier tone on high rpm`s and it pulls harder on the hill. And i dont think their is to much difference in a 2011 exhaust compared to a 2013..

Does anyone know how it will work if we have a power addiction head. I have the hps can and its to dam loud for me. I like the weight savings, but like it quiet.

If you dont like the hps can just remove it and mount the stock can. Or you could buy the slp can. If there is any improvement with the par head, my guess is that the hps can doesn`t give you anything more then noise. Its many people that thinks that a can give you a crispier sled with a can, its just because of the crispier sound.

Any idea as to what the actual power gain and/or weight savings is with the SLP pipe and can? Don't care too much about the sound, but looking to get any little power out the RMK that I can....without the spending of a turbo that is...

I've got a Slp can on my 12. Sounds real nice. The pipes they make for the new sleds are pretty much a stock pipe. The Polaris pipe is a very good pipe. I'm porting mine with a head and keeping the stock pipe and Slp can.

Just looked. Slp site says weight loss about 4the lbs with pipe and can and about 7 HP gain. Pipe n can is around 700 after tax. 100 per HP. I wouldn't waste that much money on a pipe and can.

You want bang for buck....
rktech pistons and head is a great package or there big bore 858
Fastrax has a real good track record with the setup I'm doing.

Thank you for all of the info man! I agree with the $$ part - doesn't seem like much of a gain for the dollar. I will try to get ahold of RKTech - I am assuming he is on Snowest?
