In process of installing SLP Intake - have the holes cut and would like to remove the section under the hood so as to ensure that all the pieces etc are cleaned out but can't seem to figure out those clips that are holding everything in place - any suggestions on getting this apart?? Thanks Happy New Year!!!

i did that kit also but didn't take it apart. just cleaned an blew it out. after you get it cleaned and as much of the burrs cleaned off i took a small tourch and singged the edges so they are smooth this also melts any small freys of plastic.

If you dont wanna buy the tool, take a flat screwdriver and carefully pry enough to get a side cutter/dike or whatever you wanna call it in the little crack you made and pull up evenly. Its kinda hard to explain but works really well.

are you talking about the hood push pins or the flat clips that hold the bottom of the air intake to the hood?

Those pain in the a$$ clips - but I took off the foam intake covers and I think I have it cleaned out pretty good by the looks of it so I surrendered and gave up!! LOL!!!
