Double check, but I think the stand alone can is different than the one that goes with the pipe.

You are correct. The can that goes with the SLP pipe is different than the can that fits the OEM pipe.

nice.... I was told they were the same when I bought the can. Figured I'd add the pipe later. I shoulda called SLP and asked. Thanks for the heads up.

You are correct. The can that goes with the SLP pipe is different than the can that fits the OEM pipe.

I suggest rereading the Axys lit weight silencer page. It states it is compatible with the SLP pipe if you desire to add it later. Now the Pro-Ride 800 required a different can if going from stock pipe/SLP can to SLP pipe/can combo.

To my knowledge, there isn't two different SLP cans for the Axys 800. You can buy the can to run with the stock pipe AND then later you could add their pipe later or you can buy the complete exhaust system.
