Slide Kicks

those things are a joke and don't work for crap! just my opinion

I agree. On really hard pack they just bounce around. I've been on mountain tops so hard that even standard scratchers have trouble.

I tried these when they first came out. One ride and I threw them away.

thanks for the feedback...anyone have a group discount available on traditional scratchers?

A couple guys say they don't like the Slidekicks and you bail??? I would base your decision on the type of snow you ride in. There are all kinds of threads going both ways on which scratchers work better....they ALL work, it just depends on the type of riding you do and whether you want the flexibility of being able to use reverse anywhere at any time. I have both types and they both work in the snow that I ride on. Talk to a few locals that ride in the same areas that you do.

Four rides on mine this year. Seem to work ok, but in 4 rides in the mountains little trail. The carbide tips are already worn out and gone. What a waste of money. Buy the traditional scratchers.

I have to agree with all the negative posts on here. I tried a set and they were junk. In my opinion just go with the old standard ones. They work much better and last a lot longer time.

best price

i found the same originals seem to work best more down pressure
especially on hard pack trails
dennis kirk has the best price ive seen yet
hope you find the snow and dont need them:beer;

Well I have to go against all the negative posts on here!! I have a set on each of my sleds and so does everyone else in our group. They work fine for all of us and the one plus not to mention the one time you back up with traditional ones and they are junk. After the second time you do that you will say screw it and buy the slide kicks.

I have to put my vote in for the side kicks as well. used the spring type for years and one back up with reverse, and they are toast. Also a pain to mount on a 121 skid without removing or moving bogie wheels. Sidekicks customer service is great as well. I screwed one up and got it stuck on the trailer and ripped it apart. sidekicks replaced it no questions asked. Side kicks are simple to mount, easy to store up and you can back up with out storing them. they work in our hard pack and frozen lakes so far.

I've got the Slide Kicks on my 04 800 Rev and I like them. Mind you I don't ride on ice. On hard groomed trails they work fine for me. Over 700 miles on my set and virtually no wear at all. However they would be pretty ineffective on extreme hard pack or ice. On my wife's 07 600 she has a set of the traditional scratchers with a rotating knuckle half way down the trailing part of the scratcher arm. If by mistake you use reverse, the trailing portion of the scratcher flips under and doesn't get damaged. I had never seen these before I bought this sled for her. They work great. Another option to consider:beer;
