Slednecks Defender line of clothing

How many of you guys have used their stuff. I am wanting to by the monster energy defender pants and jacket. I know they wont compare to the burandt line or ridgelline gear because of the price 180 v.s. 250. I just want to know what to expect. Are they warm, dry, and can they take a beating? Thanks

I have ridden the Bomber Line (I think it is now the Burandt Line) for the past 2 years. It is different than the Defender, but I figured I would throw in my $.02. I have had no issues with pants or coat and like them both. The pants are insulated and can get warm in spring, but opening a vent takes care of that. The jacket has a removable liner so no issues there. I am a huge fan of Goretex, so I was initially concerned how dry I would stay. I have been very pleased and yet to get wet. Taken them thru the brush many times with no issues. Hope this helps ya some.

I have the defender line, its crap. Super cold, designed for spring and fall, but sweatshirts keep me warmer. Would never buy again. People I see with the defender line usually have many layers underneath it. Even in the fall, the wind cuts right through it. I tried to get away from Klim products because of the price, but have gone back because it truly is worth the price. I also have always been happy with my Arctic Cat Clothing, for the price I always have been happy with the quality.

That is because the Defender line is designed as a shell. So, of course it only works well with many layers - the way it was designed to work. If you use a product outside of how it was designed to be used, you will likely be disapointed no matter what the product is.

If you want more insulation, look at the Bomber line.

is the new burandt line the old bomber line?

I think it is, as it is not offered anymore according to slednecks website, and the specs are the same. I believe burandt was riding the bomber gear until they renamed it. Again, it is insulated and keeps me plenty warm and dry. I usually wear a t-shirt and shorts underneath. I keep long sleeves and pants in case of spending the night. Again, as far as riding goes I love it. Any other help here corp11?
