Sledless...

Just made the official deal to sell my sled. :( First time I've been sledless in 13 years. I guess living in Florida now, and hopefully Texas and then San Diego in the coming years, I can do without a sled. :rolleyes:

Anyone else ever given up one of their passions for their real dreams? I guess all my winter time off will now be spent hunting. :o

awh :( i don't think i could ever give up snowmobiling, even if i had to get a new job somewhere in the south, i would always try to make at least one trip back every year

I haven't "given it up", just put it on the back burner for now. More important things, and only have probably 2 weeks/year to be around snow (over the Christmas leave period), mean the money from the sled can be put to good use elsewhere. Maybe my next sled will be a 2015 turbo. haha

i hate to see the orange m go to J.but that thing made my 1000 look stupid on the hill more than a few times.:)
im sure there are tons of people on here that will let you borrow a sled when you get some time off,me included:beer;

Just make a couple trips and rent a sled. way cheaper in the end.

I could never do it. In 19 years of riding I've only been sledless for about 8 months and that was during the offseason :)

Couldnt give up stock car racing either. Sold everything but my trailer and one new engine last winter, then was at the race track opening night this year :) Eric

Sounds good! :) Are you upgrading this year?

How about buy a jetski? Gotta find something else that's similar.. :beer;

I sold my sled at the end of last season. I told myself I was going to take a break for a few years as my wife and I are expecting our first child in January. I don't think I'll be able to completely give up sledding, it is hands down my favorite pass time. I will have to rent a few times this year to feed my addiction!!

$hitty....but what's the old saying about if you love something set it free...if it comes back you know it probably couldn't find a job. Oh wait....that's kids. You'll sled again one day my friend, but like words from the movie Gladiator...not yet, not yet! :beer;
