Sledding around Butte

Im going to college at Montana Tech in Butte next year, and was just seeing where there is riding in that neighborhood. is the closest stuff near anaconda?

there riding all the way around Butte, few miles north ansd south. Plus many good areas within 30-40 miles. That is if the forest service dont close it all with this latest beaverhead/deerlodge travel plan.

Does anybody in Butte ride in to Whitetail Res. in the winter? I was back there wheelin and found a big chunk of hyfax one summer. Maybe thats why no one rides there?

I've rode around delmo, but not up to the whitetail res. I think there is also a way to ride from elk park to there. I frequent that area in the summer, from the delmo side.

still a ton of snow all around

Its a 10 min ride from my house in butte to the parking lot just north of Butte. Was there last Sunday and still plenty to ride then

Butte Has fantastic riding.

I know my GPA at Tech, when I was there showed how well the riding was.
Class 8:30-9:45 tuesday and thursday, sledding by 10:30... Was a fun winter.
