i was just sitting around bored thinking about the many sledding adventures i have been on , like this one it was about 15 years ago a bunch of us were sledding we were in this new area we found on top of this ridge then one of us decides lets drop down i can see a road on the other side of the valley we will be able to get out so we all relectuntly dropped down you know how it is when in a new area always think theres gotta be more around here any way we dropped down the chute into the bowl no way we could get back out the way we went in my one buddy decides to make sure we can get to the road across the valley boom big cliff cant drop down to get to the road so we all decide we better sidehill along the valley which we did sidehilled for about 1km still cliff below us my one buddy he is collecting firewood im just like relax we will get out of this finally about another km of sidehilling through trees and hard going we come to a slide that takes us to the bottom of the valley and to the road we follow the road and it luckily leads out to a road we know and we were mega happy to get out of that one sure opened up a bunch of wicked areas for us and now we know the easy way in. although i have not been to my hometown where i first snowmobiled in a long time i think i might this year, anyway anybody else have any good stories to tell

I don't know about adventure, but on my 4th time ever on a sled, my buddies think I can handle going to Castlegar Canada. We wake up that morning about 2 feet of fresh. I'm on a buddies 02 Polaris 800. The thing is wicked fast and I can barley hang on. I think I got the thing stuck 20 times the first hour, my buddies helped every time to get me out, felt a little bad. I was ready to head back to the truck, but I pressed on. We ended up going up this (what i think) is a large hill, it took me a couple tries and finally got to the top. I just sat there for about 20 min enjoying the victory. Later that day I got bucked off the sled and it ghosted down the hill, missing a tree by a foot. Good times. Being a noob a snowmobiling it was great that friends did me that day, trying to make sure I had a good time. Purchased a 07 rmk 600 so if I wreck something this year it's mine to wreck.

When I was 15 me and my family went out on a four day trip on our sleds, and deep into the Swedish mountains we got stuck in this calf deep slush just 2ft from the sore of a lake. Mind you we had two Widetrack's with packsleds full of stuff and a Cheeta and all of them wheight a ton with the slush in the track.
Then, like out of nowhere a Saami man came by on his Aktiv Karibo (google it!!) and clamed that his 250cc "beast" of a machine could pull us out, we tryed several times to tell him that this was impossible but he would'nt listen, so he took a 50ft rope and hooked it to the sled and connected it to the Widetrack (there where only 4ft between the sleds), he gave his "beast" full throttle and went on....we stood by just watchin the rope uncoil it self, rapidly, and when it reached full length it stopped.....abruptly...The guy whent over the steering post form his seat, through the windshield and stoppend just shy of the front bumper, but still hanging on to the bars...after some ungraceful movements he finally got himself into a "normal" position on the sled, he looked in shock on us and said "Well boys, did ya'll get a good look at my shoesize?":D
