Sledder Bashing

Lots of holier than thous over at www.huntingbc.ca bashing sledders and other backcountry enthusiasts in the open chat forums. All started with the Wiegele story. Some of them have a bit of a problem with people that are from or currently live in Alberta. Seems a few think if you are a backcountry enthusiast (other than what they do for fun) and you get into trouble you should pay for your own rescue.

Nothing worse than when people with common interests fight amongst themselves while at the same time having to battle those that want no one to access the backcountry at all.

I tell ya, them city dwellers need to get out once in awhile.

the city guys need to stay behind there laptops where it is safe. safe for us and them!

Yeah I read some of the stuff these guys were saying. I wouldn't exactly call it sledder bashing, some of these guys had valid points. This post made me laugh, though:

These people are selfish fools who take huge risks.
all you have to do is watch how "THEY" drive their cars and pick-ups on the highway!

would anyone expect once there is No Center Line or Warning signs "Photo Radar" that their driving habits would improve??? once perched on a snow machine pushin 200 horses??? duhhhhh!

recent MV Insurance Statistics Canada wide,,, ALBERTA is Number ONE, leader of the PACK! Highway MVA death and injuries ,,,

it's a form of Birth control in ALBERTA, giv'em a Alta drivers license, then wait and see how many pedestrians they can "pic-off" in a cross walk or a School zone ,over the next 6 months,

ATROCIOUS DRIVERS, at work or at play, at home or abroad,,,
