sled wrap

Need some newbie advice on sled wraps on the Pro's as I am hoping to have one at least by next season :face-icon-small-ton

I see a lot of cool wraps, but was wondering if your stock color of plastics really matters to the overall out come of a full wrap?

Sure it can have an effect. The wrap does not cover the entire painted panel. It's good the choose a wrap that will compliment your panel color. That's my personal opinion.

That's what I was thinking but wanted to check. I really like this wrap but I am guessing it has white panels all around to compliment the wrap with white skis??

I hope the owner of this sled doesnt mind me posting it :face-icon-small-hap

White panels are the most neutral canvas you can start with. Trying to pick a wrap that goes with say , orange panels might prove slightly more difficult. But some great wrap shops can tweak color in the artwork as well but for a little added cost.

This! :face-icon-small-win

I'm a firm believer that the underlying colors (ie, the color of your panels) can make or break the look of a sled when wrapped. Decide what panels you want to use (or have), then pick a wrap that will compliment them.

For example, my '11 Assault came with the Orange Madness panels. Upon deciding to keep them, I looked for wraps that had a decent amount of orange in them so everything flowed nicely. I think it turned out great! (It also helps to have photoshop to play with! :face-icon-small-coo)

im having Fokus Grapics in Boise make my wrap this week. I'll post some pics but i would def give him a shout. he's super quick turn around with making your design and is very good at translating my verbal description into a graphic that was exactly like i had in mind.

I don't think it matters to much if you get a good wrap that covers to the edge of each facet on the panels

im an engineer, not a graphical guy AT ALL lol. wanted to do something for Feethookers but my lack of creativity has delayed me in the past. after meeting Jason i told him i wanted a tank/tunnel wrap that blends into the stock graphics; something cool but not over the top (no offense to others its just not my style). literally discussed the layout for a couple minutes max.

here's the stock 600:

and what he drew up for me (its missing a couple logos). it flows with the 600 graphics PERFECTLY! cant wait to get it on the sled this weekend.
