Went to start it up for the first time this season. Nothing! No head, or dash lights when pulling it over! plugs are wet, plus i put new ones in too nothing. Ran great when i put in away last year! Any imput would be great! Thanks its an 05 900 151

Make sure you turn off handwarmers or anything else that can be turned on and off before first start. pull plugs and see if you have spark.

Headlights and dash-lights will not flash while pulling over... the motor must be running at a rate of at least 800 RPM before the chassis power relay engages and sends power to those "accessories".

As Z-man said, try disconnecting the handwarmers... also the ignition, throttle safety switch circuit and kill switch circuit. The sled will run with everything disconnected, it is a normally open system and it is shut off by grounding it out.... if something is causing a short-to-ground it can give you grief.

I unpluged everything still nothing! I see the flywheel and or timingwheel has some rust on it. Would that cause something? I didn't get any spark! Could it be the stator? thanks for the help!

there is a safety switch on the bars that you probably shouldn't unplug or it may not start. plug wires back in and just turn off handwarmers or leave just handwarmers unplugged.

then check spark. Plugs are new right? If it ran when you parked it, it seems unlikely the stator would go bad from sitting.

do you have the kill switch on?

do you have a tether cord thats not plugged in...

hey man, we've seen worse ;)

mine did the same thing first time I went to start it after it sat a while. Changed the plugs and still no start. turned off the hand warms and then start and run for a few seconds and shut off. Took a few tries to get it going, every time it ran a little better.

Gotta have spark though. If it ran when you parked it, start with easy things like checking wiring connections and grounds if you have no spark. These things could have got corrosion on them over the summer and have bad connections now.

You can hook power to the harness to prime the fuel pump and check the lights and dash if you want, there is info on how to do it in the stickies.
