This years sled setup has opened up many new possibilities. One of which is cliff drops with short technical run-ins. The sled is a 2013 pro rmk with a BoonDocker turbo installed and tuned to perfection by VOHK. The intercooled GT 2860 with stainless tial housing and external wastegate spools so quickly, it allows me to build enough speed in a very short distance to achieve the outward flight needed on the drops. The suspension is crucial as well. EXIT shocks all the way around are capable of handling anything I have attempted. The adjustment is great because I can fine tune them for all conditions. I was a bit nervous initially with the 36 inch ZBROZ front end for drops, but it has worked extremely well and has actually allowed me to adjust the sled more in the air from side to side to square up to landings. My rear suspension is a 2012 version Timbersled Mountain Tamer on IceAge rails. The skid has proven extremely tough and durable as this is the second season I've used it on a turbo sled for a wide variety of riding. I really appreciate that I can dial it in for so many different aspects of riding with confidence it will handle it all. I also use shorter RSI handlebars for advanced control and a more aggressive riding stance. I've been using C&A pro skis xt model and have been very pleased with the precise steering getting through my run-ins. Also, you can see I always jump with a backpack. Not any backpack, but a BCA float throttle airbag. They have designed a comfortable lightweight pack with adequate storage for everything I need. Something else that I wear that you can't see under my Klim gear that is essential is an EVS snow vest and RS 8 knee braces. Proper protection is very important for those times that everything doesn't go as planned.
