Sled Rescue Mission

Friend of a friend needs some help retrieving sleds. Based on the terrain they are in, I don't believe were going to need any ropes, winches, rescue gear etc.

The two were riding phazers and dropped down the north side of reids peak into the weber river basin. One of the riders was his first time out and basically gave up, so they spent the night walking out instead of riding. The sleds are not in a bad spot, just a spot beyond a first time riders ability. With a few bodies a trail up the bottom to the hwy 150 should be easy to do.

What I need is a couple of people willing to ride in double and ride a sled back out. And a two place trailer to drag the sleds back to SLC since the owners trailer is out of commission on the bear river side.

I am planning on leaving SLC at 2 on Friday to head up the kamas side. If you can go, please contact me at 208-390-5538 (call or txt). Thanks guys

Oh geesh, Chris took a first timer out? Ummmm we really should help since we know this person. Talk Ron into it. One last adventure!

If you cant get anybody else to help let me know and I will see if i can take a few hours off work to help out.

I was just on the East side of Reids peak on Saturday at about 5:30 pm. Too bad we didnt go a little further northwest and we could have seen them. The Avalanches we saw come down off Reids peak & Bald Mtn scared us back to the highway and in the trees.

Ya know what would be cool to have. A device like the SPOT but that would be tied to all other devices that when a help button was pushed it would send a signal to the other SPOT devices and show them on a screen realative to where you are. That way the closest person would be able to get to them quickly and be able to offer up some help fast.

That's why the group I mainly ride with all have communicaters so that when you get in some trouble you can talk them back to you, but a general signal sent to everyone in the area would be a great idea until the fish cops get a hold of them and start sending out the help signal just so you go to them in order to meet their ticket quota for the month.

In that case if the help button was pushed and not needed a big fine would have to be assesed. Just like it is now with the 911 button on the SPOT.

So I still dont have any confirmed help... If anybody has at least a 2 place trailer I could borrow that would be a big help.

Thanks Eston for the trailer! Hector, text me, i dont have your number. planning on leaving tomorrow at 2, have a spot for sled on deck and room for you in truck. fuel and gas all paid for by the owner of the sleds.

just read this, phatty, if you need a 4 place open deck trailer, I am next door to Eston, I also have a 2 place you can borrow...
