My buddy's kid got a sled stuck on top of Bountiful somewhere about 2 days ago. I have volunteered to go help retrieve it. I plan to leave after I'm done with work, probably 2:00 ish. Any help would be appreciated.

Text me, if you are interested or able to help out

I might be up for that! How far in did he go? Hopefully he didn't make it over Banner to the bone yard....

Needle in a hay stack or should I say a bump in a snow field.

Good luck and stay safe its an avalanche jungle out there.

Sorry I missed out Kim. Good on ya for helping how bad was it? Did he need a helicopter to rescue him?;)

No luck

Apparently it took a couple hours to even find it.

I was on a plane from Dallas so I didn't get to see where it is exactly. Kimberly told me, "it's there til spring." We're putting Operation: 580 COUGAR RECOVERY on hold tomorrow and going to see how well the trail is groomed up at Monte. Hopefully it has been done so we can at least get to Little Monte or somewhere cool like that, if we're really lucky even maybe Curtis Creek!

If we have to, I'll hook a couple 2' straps to it and yank it out with my sled. The good news is the sled is not broke down. I'll have Kim let you know when we plan on going to get it. My guess would be possibly Monday.

Everyone play it safe tomorrow.....I don't want to read about anyone getting caught in an Avy, and even worse meeting our maker way to soon!

This thing is in a sh!t hole down from the pumpkin patch. It took me an hour just to find it, and that wouldn't have happened except for the Boondocker boys came down to help me out, and one of them unburied it during a side hill! ha! It may be there till Spring conditions set up....at least not coming out with our recent snow.

Thanks for those willing to help....Hector, RMKed, and Centervillesldr...and for the Boondocker boys for your help. Thanks for those offering help as well.

Play safe today....and enjoy the DEEP!!! Snorkels up!

Dang I love recovery missions. Bummed I didn't see this till now... Let me know if you need more help.

Matt....as far as I'm concerned, it is there till Spring! If it sets up this week, I may consider taking my RZR with Trax in there and winching it out.

When Kim says its in a sh!t hole he's not kidding. Hector and I didn't want to ride down in there because we didn't think we would get our own sleds back out. Good thing the Boondocker crew showed when they did! Them boys can ride and jumped in head first to get Kim back out. It may be a while before that stranded sled comes out.
Kim, let us know when you go back in for it. I may balls up and drop in there with you this time.:face-icon-small-ton

Thanks everyone! What is it about sled rescues that kind of get us sledheads excited!? But, it is true, I think! haha!

Be safe everyone! The hill just North of where this sled is buried slid while I was down in there.

I'm ready for the next trip out :face-icon-small-ton Now that we got a packed trail out, I'm diving in 3rd :face-icon-small-hap

You can always wait for a good melt / freeze cycle and get in there early while everything is frozen and bullet proof and cruise that bad boy on out of there.:face-icon-small-coo

You guys can all drop in Ill keep my sled on top and yell at you like last time. To bad you had to head out Kim we had some good pow to tear up after. Im glad I knew Dan and the BD crew was headed up so we could stop them and get Kim out. I have vid of them trying to climb out as well as making it out, Ill post up. Dont have internet in the new house yet.
