Anyone out there insure your sleds? I have gieco and all they cove is property damage nothing on your sled or you is even covered. I'm just shopping around thought I would ask what you guys have and if it is worth the money. I think it is funny that my renters insurance covers my sled better than getting insurance for the sled it self.

I have Met...I had to move my home owns or my car (I moved both because it was cheaper across the board) over to them but the rates were awesome and I have had a couple claims and they were a breeze. Call Jamie Peterson...his work number is 801.501.7599 and ask for a quote and see how it stacks up. Tell him Nate Williams refered you and he will take care of you.

I have my insurance through state farm for a 2008 AC M8. It covers liability, comp, and collision for $160 with a $500 deductable a year. It's totally worth it! Last year I totaled out my 07 m8 and they gave me book value as excellent condition + tax and license fees, minus my $500.

'nother vote for MetLife, same as nate ^^
my deal worked the same as his, i switched home and auto to them as well. ended up being about $350 a year cheaper overall. havent had to make a major claim, but they have been awesome to work with on little items. my agent actually recommends ways to save $$, not just highest price everything. $120/yr. full coverage on my sled (08 XP 800), and my deduct is only $250. big thumbs up from me.
my agent is dan kasteler, fone # 801.748.0647. AND, he is a sledhead!!! he actually has a booth every year at the snowshow. great guy!

If full insure my sleds through all state. Full covereage all winter for all the carnage I may cause and comprehensive if it gets stolen, burnt, etc... when I don't touch it all summer. Costs me about $200/year.

I have all state. Had one claim last year...no questions asked, sent them the estimate and they had a check to me in 2 days. I have 2 friends with state farm and they have had great luck with them too.

i would DEFINATELY insure it. at least have liability. then if you are crusin through the sno park and smash into an open door or somethin, you are covered for the damage to the other vehicle... or person:D

i have friends that worked for the state auditors office and others that just got hosed by them, i guess if it works for you then great, i will never trust them... that and they have the word 'state' in their name, very bad omen in my book

.

Foremost all the way. Great to work with and very fair.;)

I know I've got my moneys worth...................

Also, if you ride with Spencer and Hector. Insurance is a must have.

I too have Met. I have all my insurance with them. I use LA Bowen in Orem, they are an independant insurance agency so they can quote many different companies. Once a year Lane at LA Bowen re-quotes my policies with different agencies and Met has come back as the cheapest for the past few years. They have been great to work with although I haven't had to make a claim.

never mind
Foremost stinks too, thought i had my trailer insured too, twice they canceled the policy without notice because i didn't get the bill they didn't send and couldn't talk to the agent cause they closed the local branch...

getting quotes now from local independent insurance agents for all my vehicles & house...

.

Dropping Foremost and all other insurance
Got a great quote for 2 trucks, sled, trailer & house for under $1500 per year
went to an independent agent, ended up with Progressive for the rolling stock and Travelers for the house, biggest thing is I got someone local to call or go see if something happens

I will not do business with Foremost again. They dropped my policy, without notice, leaving my new trailer uncovered, twice...

State farm hooked me up. Got me Renters both cars trailer both sleds all this and I saved 80 bucks/m over gieco.

Now hope my medical will keep me after last winter. ha ha ha

I have Allstate, so far they have been FANTASTIC, they say they are even going to cover my mod parts? We'll see but the guy Im talking to wanted a list of everything. Im not sure what I pay annually but I have a $250.00 deduct, best $ I've spent on my goat for sure!

Farmers/Formost

I insured my sleds through Farmers who uses Formost(maybe Foremost) last season. My $532(500 deductable) covered 2 sleds, trailer and injuries up to 50k . my friend wrecked my 06 summit 800 2 weeks later. They paid 7k within weeks...no problem. I highly recommend formost IMO.
