SLED INSURANCE TIPS ????

WENT TO GET INSURANCE ON THE 2011 SKIDOO AND THEY WANTED 550 DOLLARS, SEEMS A BIT STEEP, CLEAN RECORD AND 35 YEARS OLD. A BIT DISCOURAGED THAT WAS WITH PROGRESSIVE TO WHOM I INSURE THREE AUTOS THRU.
ANY TIPS ON A PLACE FOR BETTER RATES.??

yea that seems a bit high...i am 23 and just insured a 2013 xm for a little over 500 for the year

I have a 2011 and pay 21 a month through Nationwide. That is all I have with them, so there are no additional discounts.

i'm shopping again myself.. i used to pay 223 a yr for my 2008 Cat Msled, i now have that and the 2009 Msled.. looking to insure them both..

making some phone call quote rounds today and this week, i'll report back..

Sled Ins. Tips

Allstate, all my policies are with one agent, homeowners, auto, sleds,trls., etc.
Full coverage, $250. ded.. I am 53, good ratings, I did a snowmobile safety training course last year offered thru a Forest Service program, course was BS, but it cut my ins. in half almost.
I have 2 011 M8s, $93.10 ea./yr
1 06 M7, $65.00/ yr.. Total of $232.60/yr

State Farm - Cheap but...

I priced a few and found state farm to be the cheapest. They told me that a snowmobile accident would not affect my auto insurance policy or rates. Crunched my front end, and they paid out $1200, cancelled my policy, and the accident is now on my auto insurance record, which raised the rates for my truck. Back with progressive.
