Sled hangs off back of trailor

We are head out to Montana tomorrow and the trailor we are using is a three place but is a little short for the third sled on the back and is hangs off by about 15" should we leave it. I am pretty sure it won't hurt anything we thought about putting a plank under it, anyone ever have any situations like this?
Thanks Darren

I wouldn't worry about 15". Tie it down to keep it from bouncing around and hit the road.

Way more than that hangs off my deck all the time. As posted, secure it and you should be good to go. Remember the overhand when backing up, say near a light post in a Walmart parking lot. Not that I would know. EW

Spread the two outside sleds as far as possible and put the third one on between them, backwards. (pull the windshield)

EXACTLY!!!!!!! This is what we've done in the past traveling from MN to the UP of MI and it works out great. You can't load the 3 place trailer like 3 short tracked sleds.

I have been in this same situation before. You can always put one in the back of the truck. Then pull the other two on the trailer.

I know the trailer will handle it, but................
I don't like the trailer being the weakest link (axle, bearings, tires)
One failure can screw up a good trip.
Can you borrow, rent or buy the trailer you want?

I agree. Is it a dual axle trailer?
