sled front end taller

It will not affect the steering as long as you adjust the toe and camber after. With that said being said it will narrow the stance and will affect the stability of the sled. Many guys like this because it allows you to lay the sled over, but you are less stable on the trail. On what hieght you gain depends on how much you add or subtract. Time to break out the old Pythagorean theorem you learned in geometry or You can also use this website http://www.1728.org/pythgorn.htm You are limited to how much you can take off the radius rods because the trailing arm will eventually hit the side of the pan. I went to a 39" stance and I think thats about the limit and it only raised the sled a little less than an inch.

Why do you want to raise the sled anyway? There isn't much to gain from this and there can be more negatives than positives.

I narrowed my sled to about 39", it became much better to sidehill with.
But it did change the way the sled handles on trails. (negative..)
It did raise the front a bit and gave me a hard time getting the rear skid dialed in again.
I only did it because i wanted the sled better to sidehill with, the lifted front end was in my eyes a negative sideffect...
Should have used shorter shocks.
Remember if you change the ridehight up front, the rear skid has to be readjusted as well.
If u want to do it just for ride hight, i would go for longer shocks.

I do like the narrow stance as well, after riding my pro a lot the edge just feels better to be with the stance set as narrow as possible, I shortened the radius rods until the trailing arms almost were touching the body. Next step was trying to get more travel so I went with the zbros remote reservoir shocks ,they are 19" extended with 7 inches of stroke. Using a soft 1st stage spring they collaspe a bit when installed but have very quick extention so skis stay planted on trail. This setup allows for very easy "rollover" to side hill like adream. I also found the slp powder pro with carls cut to be the ticket. Probably raised the front end aprox 2 inches.
This raise works very well being that I run the avid chaincase,I set the case 1" lower when installing it as well (major deal as jackshaft now in tunnel area) but it works very very well. Dropped skid hole 1.5 inches from stock and allows up to 3" paddle track.
I tried the 3" x16 track and went back to the 2.5 x15 just worked a whole bunch better.
Another thing I did to help side hilling was to move the rear idlers inside the rails like a newed sled, this combined with the front works very very well for me.

Sounds like a good setup. I machined new radius rods, made them 15mm shorter then stock.
Installed a set of fabcraft trailing arms and float 2 shocks. I think it raised the front end about 1".
Had to lower the front mount of the skid a bit to get proper weight distrubution back.
Sled was resting on the tipped up part of the rails. Got the stock suspension working pretty good.
Bought a fabcraft skid a while ago thats going in soon.
Still have some issues with the front end, not happy with the shocks.
Thinking about adding a evol upgrade or some sort of extra chamber to the shocks to get it working better.

witch one will be easier and how long and how hard to do both
Cut the radius rods 1/2". You wil need a tap to make the threads deeper. (Dont remember the size.)
Make shure to cut the right hand thread side, its a bitch getting hold of left hand thread taps
